His previous experience includes association with the Delphina Hotel and Resorts in Sardinia, Italy, the London Baglioni Hotel and the Sheraton Golf Hotel in Rome. He is multilingual and fluent in Italian, English and Hindi. In his position with the Regina he supervises food and beverage operations.
Francesco Rinaldi, Concierge, Regina Hotel Baglioni, Rome
Frequently the role and responsibility of the Concierge goes unheralded; however, when there is an emergency or crises the hotel Concierge becomes the most important person in the life of the guest. It is the Concierge with bi-lingual language skills combined with personal knowledge of the hotel and familiarity with the city and its culture, who has the experience and know- how to find solutions to the multiple problems that travelers encounter.

VIPS Then and Now
For 14 months (1904) this Art Nouveau hotel was occupied by Queen Margherita of Savoy as her “temporary home,” as she waited for her residence, Villa Margherita, to be completed. Currently her residence is occupied by the American Embassy – which is a short 5 minute walk from the Regina and explains why US Secretary of State, John Kerry is “in residence” when he is in Rome. There is absolutely no reason to skip Rome because of a small budget. A small, family run hotel, located in a mixed residential/commercial locale that requires a short walk to the Metro, moderately priced shopping and dining opportunities is the Atlante Star.
Located near the Vatican on a busy, tree-lined street, it is noted for its spectacular 6th floor Roof Garden overlooking St Peter’s and the Vatican City which has become a “go to” locale for drinks and dinner. Guests arriving from the airport are able to reserve complimentary shuttle service to the hotel (advance email notice is required). For return van service to the airport, a value-priced fee is added to the hotel bill upon check-out.
