This luxury hotel in Nice has invested in actions to protect nature, reduce its carbon footprint, and also works with charities.
Evaluated on over 300 indicators, the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée is the first hotel in Nice to obtained Green Globe certification.
Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée thus confirms its commitment to be a major actor within the city and its community, while being fully aware of the challenges future generations will face. This certification rewards the constant commitment of the hotel team in preserving the planet, supporting local community and is fully in line with the hotel group’s CSR program, Hyatt Thrive.
“I believe we have a responsibility to support and protect our community and our environment. We use sustainable business practices, this has an impact not only ecologically and socially but also economically,” said Rolf Osterwalder, General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée.
Examples of the hotel’s commitment to sustainable practices include sponsorship of two bee hives in the country side of Nice, Gorges of Daluis; the hosting of many charity events; and innovations to improve the quality of service and comfort of its customers and employees alongside environmental protection and reduction of the hotel’s carbon footprint.
The Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée has 187 rooms including 9 suites. Its 1930s Art Deco facade was renovated in 2004. Featuring a stunning outdoor indoor pool on the third floor and a terrace overlooking the sea, the 5-star hotel offers 1,700 m² of meeting and banqueting space.
Green Globe is an environmental and social certification program specifically for the tourism and hospitality industry. Recognized internationally as the first certification of sustainable development within the industry, the goal is to continuously improve the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée’s performance on the economic, environmental and social pillars of sustainable development.
