Typhoon Jebi is the worst storm to hit Japan in the past 25 years. It quickly traveled today from land to the ocean off of the central Ishikawa region. Behind, it left devastation including a death toll currently standing at 9.

The main tourist train station in Kyoto lost part of its ceiling, while in Osaka a 100-meter-tall ferris wheel spun nearly out of control even though it had no electrical power.

Almost 800 flights have been canceled which includes international flights between Osaka and Nagoya. Also shut down from operating are train stations, both local trains and bullet trains, as well as ferries.

Around 2.3 million households have no power, along with businesses, factories and schools having to close down.
