With the latest bout of natural disasters, those of us in the travel industry can only wonder how tourism and travel will be affected. A 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit Mexico on September 19. Jessica Arias, the general manager of UNIGLOBE Travel Mexico, reported that “thirty-eight buildings fell down in Mexico City and a state of emergency has been declared.” Authorities are working around the clock to ensure all buildings are safe to return to by September 25.

“The UNIGLOBE Regional office suffered some damages as almost everything fell off the walls, but we are okay, we are back to work,” explained Arias, who oversees nearly 30 UNIGLOBE Travel Management Companies in Mexico. Now, more than ever it is important to have a travel agency that you can trust to make emergency travel arrangements. Arias urges that “if you need to check any travel information in Mexico, please do not hesitate to ask us [UNIGLOBE Travel Mexico] for support.”

UNIGLOBE Travel Mexico is a regional division of UNIGLOBE سفر انٽرنيشنل. Thoughts go to all those who have been affected by the various hurricanes, earthquakes, and forest fires that have occurred this summer.
