Hotel Es Princep on the island of Mallorca is proud to announce the opening of the 68 room hotel hotel on February 1 and Ilka Karl as General Manager. Ms. Karl brings over 18 years of luxury hospitality experience to the property. She spent the majority of her life on the island and also earned her degree in tourism at the Baleares International School.
Most recently Mrs. Karl was the General Manager of Hotel Sant Francesc known for receiving several accolades. Under her guidance the hotel was named Conde Nast Traveler’s 2016 50 Best Hotels in the World, Architectural Digest’s 15 Best Hotels to Open in Europe and Tatler’s 100 Best New Hotels, to name a few.
Additional experience includes positions at Grand Hotel Son Net in Mallorca, Chateau Eza, on the French Riviera, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Golf de Andratx, and the Dorint Royal Golf Resort & Spa. Ms. Karl is fluent in Spanish, English, and German and speaks some French and Catalan. She lives in Mallorca with her husband Mike Karl, an IT Specialist, and her three loveable dogs.
