PARIS, France – The situation in Paris remains in flux, but our understanding is that nearly all of the main attractions are now open, and that there are no abnormal restrictions on coach access within the city.

PLACES OPENED IN PARIS:

Transport network

The traffic is normal on the whole network of the Paris public transport (RATP and SNCF). All metro lines are operating normally. Only the Oberkampf station is still closed to the public. Airports and international stations are open under normal conditions. Allow additional time for identity checks and luggage.

Similarly, excursions and cruises companies are operating normally. This is the case for example of Big Bus, Paris City Vision, Bateaux parisiens, Vedettes de Paris.

All cabarets such as the Lido, the Moulin Rouge, the Paradis Latin, the Crazy Horse are currently open under normal conditions.

All museums and cultural sites are open (except the Basilica of Saint-Denis closed since yesterday and the archaeological crypt of the Parvis de Notre Dame closed for repairs until November 20).
Regarding the major sites, only visits of the Stade de France are currently suspended until November 20.

All the Tourist Information Centres of the The Paris Region Tourist Board at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and Orly, Galeries Lafayette, Disneyland Paris and Versailles are open at the usual times. It is the same for the network of the Paris Tourist Office in train stations, in Anvers, Pyramides and the City Hall.

As the French Government has ordered trips conducted by French schoolchildren to be cancelled until next week (22nd of November), a number of other countries are following their lead.

The US State Department has issued no specific travel advisories following on from these attacks, beyond re-emphasising the “Worldwide Caution” it issued on 29th July concerning ISIL threats. Further information specifically concerning the situation in Paris is posted on the website of the US Embassy in Paris.

Border checks are no in force for all travellers arriving in France, but beyond the checks taking place, we have had no reports of any further restrictions on visitors.

بيلجيم

The Flanders Tourism Office has asked us to send out this communiqué:
“Following the attacks in Paris and subsequent police investigations in Belgium, a number of countries ask their citizens to be extra vigilant when travelling to Europe and Belgium.

Apart from extra police presence in Brussels, all tourist events and activities in Belgium take place as normal: attractions and museums are open and all transportation services, both national and international, are running as normal. The airports and public buildings are open and all tourist events will go ahead as planned.

Wallonie-Bruxelles Tourisme, Visit Brussels and VISITFLANDERS monitor the situation closely. We have complete confidence in Belgian security services and are convinced that the authorities will do everything in their power to safeguard the security of all visitors.
Contact your local authorities for the latest updates on travel advice.”
