Largest Cypriot airline now serving Gatwick six days per week

Cobalt Air, Cyprus’s largest airline is proud to announce a new six days per week service this winter, linking London Gatwick directly with Larnaca, Cyprus

Andrew Madar, Cobalt Air CEO said:

“I am delighted to be here today in London Gatwick on our inaugural flight from Larnaca. Cobalt has quickly become the preferred airline of the Cypriot people; and we can’t wait to show you our great welcome and on-board service as you start your holiday or business trip from London to Cyprus.

“I’m very proud or our people too. At Cobalt we know the value of reliability, competitive pricing and a genuine focus on customer care – which was recognised within the global airline community earlier this month. We are genuinely different. Not Legacy, not LCC, just Cobalt.”

Cobalt Air currently serves 16 destinations across 10 different countries from its home in Cyprus. The company was globally recognised as the best Start-up airline of 2017* at an international awards ceremony in London earlier this month. In December Cobalt will launch a new business class service on the Gatwick route, featuring large bespoke business seats in a 2 by 2 configuration. This will bring a new level of business comfort to the route.

Cyprus is an exceptional warm weather destination in winter for a variety of activities including golf, hiking, sailing, antiquities, wineries, skiing in the Troodos mountains, or simply chilling in a taverna by the sea.

Stephen King, Head or Airline Relations, Gatwick Airport, said: “We are delighted to welcome the award-winning Cobalt Air to Gatwick. The regular six day a week service is likely to be popular with both holiday travellers and those flying on business, particularly as the airline offers some impressive airfares and an attractive business class service.”
