Benchmark, a global hospitality company, has appointed Jon Conching director of sales and marketing for Turtle Bay Resort. The Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property is located on Oahu’s legendary North Shore. Jerry Gibson, Benchmark’s vice president and managing director for the resort, made the announcement.

“It is indeed a pleasure to formally welcome Jon to Benchmark and to Turtle Bay Resort,” said Mr. Gibson. “His multi-decade highly successful career and business contacts within the Hawaiian resort market make him a natural for our property, and we look forward to his leadership and success as part of our executive team.”

Prior to joining Turtle Bay Resort, Jon Conching held the position of director of sales and marketing for the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa. He has also served as the regional vice president sales & marketing–Hawaii & Select Resorts for Hilton Worldwide, overseeing the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the Hilton Waikoloa Village, the Grand Wailea Resort and the Doubletree by Hilton as well as select resorts in San Diego, Phoenix and Palm Springs. He began his career in hospitality sales with the Sheraton Waikiki as a convention sales manager.

Mr. Conching resides in the Honolulu area with his wife Jamie and has three daughters, all engaged in hospitality sales & marketing with the Four Seasons and Marriott brands.
