LOS ANGELES, CA – For luxury travelers seeking truly captivating and immersive global experiences, Crystal Cruises’ 2017 World Cruise offers one of the line’s most comprehensive itineraries to date featuring six abbreviated segments available to sail. The segments, ranging from 10-23 days and each featuring at least one overnight stay, will offer concentrated routes that highlight the distinct culture and natural and historical wonders that enrich each of the countries visited. Focused on the metropolitan cities, quaint villages, less-visited islands and up-and-coming destinations of South America and the Caribbean – plus the first World Cruise visit to Antarctica in 10 years – the 94-day journey sails round-trip from Miami aboard Crystal Serenity, embarking on January 10, 2017.

“The 2017 World Cruise and its segments are the ultimate opportunity for travelers to experience varied nuances of the destinations with a prolonged amount of time exploring several ports in nearly every country visited,” says Crystal’s president & CEO, Edie Rodriguez. “Guests who enjoy delving deeper into locales will find that a Crystal World Cruise is the ideal way to do it, with enriching experiences designed by destination experts, plus the luxury and attention to detail that makes Crystal the number one choice of discerning travelers.”

January 11 (11 days) – From Miami to Colon, Panama, the cruise explores the many ancient Mayan ruins sites in ports along Mexico’s coast, plus the extraordinary coral reefs of Honduras and jungles of Costa Rica.

January 23 (20 days) – After an overnight in Colon, Panama to explore the bustling town surrounding the famed canal, the ship transits through the locks en route to Ecuador – rich in lush forest and world-class seafood – then on to several Peruvian ports (including two maiden calls) and concluding with four days in Chile highlighted by a three-night inclusive exploration of Machu Picchu.

February 8 (23 days) – The epic adventure begins even before boarding the ship, with an inclusive pre-cruise 3-night Extended Land Program to Machu Picchu; then continues as the voyage embarks on 11 days exploring Chile and Argentina, before cruising Cape Horn, Antarctica and the Falkland Islands before returning to Uruguay and Argentina.

March 3 (11 days) – Rich history and tradition blend beautifully with modern nightlife and world-famous beach culture as the sailing visits Argentina and Uruguay, plus 7 nights in Brazil, with overnight stays in Buenos Aires, Buzios and Rio de Janeiro to maximize the renowned social and culinary scenes after dark. The journey begins with an inclusive 2-night, pre-cruise Extended Land Program that affords close-up encounters with Iguazu Falls.

March 14 (22 days) – The intensive Brazilian itinerary also begins with an inclusive 2-night, pre-cruise Extended Land Program that affords close-up encounters with Iguazu Falls, and features a whopping 16 days amidst Brazil’s magnificent architecture, winding waterways and bridges, cosmopolitan hubs and breathtaking monuments. Calls to Devil’s Island, Granada and Barbados lend some Caribbean flare to the sailing.
